Open-plan offices have enjoyed unprecedented popularity since the 1990s, as they create a pleasant work atmosphere and encourage creativity and interaction.
Also the office loft of the company GEDANKENtanken in Cologne was renovated and converted into an open-plan office, a process in which the creation of good acoustics was an important factor.
Disadvantages of an office garden

Our acoustic specialists visited the office in Cologne and carried out detailed measurements, through which they concluded that 145m2 of absorption material was needed in order to improve the acoustics in the existing offices, as well as in the newly added premises.
Thanks to acoustic panels, reverberation has been reduced from 1.04 to 0.6 seconds – the recommended reverberation time for offices.

In order to improve the acoustics in the open plan office, the following products were used:

After the placement of these products, hardly any noise reflections remained, and the disturbing reverberations were eliminated. The design of the acoustic panels optimally complements the furnishing of the office, and the ARTceilings fit seamlessly into the interior.
